Petroleum Exports Revenue Up 84% in 2021

The Minister of Petroleum & Natural Resources reported that Egypt’s revenue from the export of petroleum products shot up by over 84% in 2021 to reach USD12.9bn. Most impressive were the export revenues of natural gas (including LNG) in particular, which skyrocketed to more than five times their 2020 levels to reach USD3.9bn. Crude oil exports also rose considerably by 32% to USD3.3bn.
