The Suez Canal’s revenues increased in 4M21 (January to April 2021) by 2.7% YoY to reach USD1.96bn. This comes despite the number of ships crossing the canal declining by 2.5%, and the net loads carried by these ships declining by 1.6%.

As for the month of April 2021 specifically, revenues increased by 16% YoY. The number of ships crossing the canal increased by 4.8% YoY, and the net loads carried by these ships increased by 8% YoY. (Source: al-Mal, Mubasher, CNBC Arabia)
