Foundation
Acumen acquired and rebranded a brokerage licence, then incorporated Acumen Holding and secured full Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) licences for asset management, brokerage, and advisory — establishing a regulated, multi-line investment platform from day one.

First Institutional Mandate — Misr El Kheir Fund
Acumen Asset Management was awarded the Misr El Kheir mandate and turned a loss-making portfolio into Egypt's No. 1 ranked balanced fund — a position it held for over a decade, compounding a cumulative return of 241%.
- 2013
Flagship Fund & Public-Sector Mandates
Won the mandate to manage the Ezdehar Fund for Bank Audi (later FAB Misr) and began managing portfolios for leading public-sector banks, ranking first among peers. Ezdehar has since delivered a 377.57% return since inception.
- 2018
Regional & International Recognition
Acumen was named Best Asset Manager in the MENA region, collecting nine awards in a single year including Best Equity Fund and Balanced Fund of the Year. CEO Rana Adawi was recognised by Forbes among the most influential businesswomen in the Middle East.
- 2024
Acumen Activism Launched
Established a dedicated value-creation and shareholder-engagement arm, completing three landmark activist mandates — Marseilia Group (216% ROI exit), Mansoura Poultry, and Coldwell Banker Egypt — cementing Acumen as one of Egypt's few successful activist investors.
- 2026
From Manager to Fund Sponsor
Acumen Holding obtained the FRA licence to establish and sponsor its own funds. The brokerage simultaneously secured a fund-subscription and trading licence, and the Group launched Iqtinas — its first proprietary fund — marking the evolution from third-party manager to full investment-platform owner.
